1.1 These Terms and Conditions were updated 5th April 2023 and replace our previous terms and conditions
1.2 Address
MC Dual Controls, our workshop is at: Unit 5, Infinity Storage Yard, Hawarden Road, Caergwrle, Flintshire, LL12 9BB
Our mailing address because of locked gate is: 21 Harwd Road, Brymbo, Wrexham, LL11 5BP
2.1. Quotes
Any quote given is valid for 6 weeks, any prices on our website are for fitting / removal at our workshop, where quotes are for refurbished Dual Controls, we may have limited stock these will be allocated to who books and pays there deposit first, where quote is for new dual controls, we reserve the right to change the quote with notice should our suppliers change their prices.
2.2. Deposits
£50 for a booking and reserve a set of Refurbished or Universals Dual Controls
£100 to order new He-Man dual controls and for booking
Deposits are non-refundable if you change your mind, but should you need to change your appointment, providing you have given at least 3 full working days’ notice, this would be ok up to two times. In the event we take a deposit and for any reason we cannot obtain the dual controls, your deposit would be refunded in full straight away.
Deposit will hold dual controls for up to 6 weeks.
2.3. Location
Our fitting location is at Unit 5, Hawarden Road, Caergwrle, Flintshire, LL12 9BB, we may do mobile fitting depending on where at an extra charge to cover our time and travel costs, we would require somewhere off road where both front doors can be fully opened, and we reserve the right to rearrange booking in the event of bad weather.
2.4. Dual controls
In most cases we fit He-Man Dual Controls that are designed for your car, where He-Man aren't available, we may fit Universal Dual Controls, these are designed to be able to fit most vehicles, but we do not guarantee that they will always fit all vehicles. so, there is a possibility on vehicles we haven't done before, that you could come for fitting, and we may not be able to fit them, sometimes we may have to cut some of the sound insulation and drill small holes to see if it’s possible to fit.
Should you come for fitting, and it isn't possible to fit them we would blank any holes drilled and put sound insulation back and there wouldn't be any charge and any deposit would be refunded straight away.
2.5. Payments
We can accept Bank transfers, Cash or card Payments. (Bank Transfers are preferred)
2.6. Cancellation
We will contact you a few days before your booking, to confirm your booking, detail and to make sure everything is in place ready to do the work required, we will only turn up to carry out work if we have had confirmation, if you do come across any issues like your car delivery date gets delayed, please let us know asap.
In the event you need to cancel or rearrange please let us know ASAP which will allow us to take other bookings.
2.7. Our He-Man Life-Time Warranty on New and refurbished He-Man Dual Controls supplied by us or New supplied by customer.
All our work is fully insured and all our new & Refurbished He-Man Dual Controls supplied and fitted by us or new ones supplied by yourself and fitted by us, come with our own full Lifetime warranty on all parts including cables, secondhand Dual Controls supplied by yourself or dual controls swapped from one vehicle to another if in full working order and fitted with new cables will also come with our Full LifeTime warranty. Lifetime warranty does not include adjustments, but we would always do free adjustments if needed at our workshop to any dual controls we have fitted.
2.71 Cables & Springs
Cables and springs are wear and tear items and over time may wear out, the manufactures of Dual Controls do give limited warranties for these, but on He-Man Dual Controls where these have been fitted by ourselves we will guarantee them for the whole time you own them in the original car they were fitted to, should the cables need replacing we would do this free of charge at our workshop, if a spring needs replacing, we can do this free of charge at our workshop or we can post you one to you.
2.72 This Life-Time Warranty is subject to the He-Man Dual Controls still being fitted to the original vehicle we fitted them to and is still own by the person who bought them and is limited to Parts and Fitting Only, and excludes pedal rubbers
2.73 Fast Universal Dual Control Warranty
The warranty on these (including cables and springs) is 12 months or 12,000 miles whichever comes first and is subject to them still being fitted to the original vehicle we fitted them to and is still own by the person who bought them and is limited to Parts and Fitting Only, and excludes pedal rubbers
2.73 In the event of a warranty claim these are carried out at our workshop.
2.8. Fitting and Insurance
In order to fit Dual Controls in most cases carpets and sound insulation will need to be cut as per instructions, and in some cases some of the plastic trims will need to be cut, some bits of trim may need to be removed, in this case we will give them to you to keep in order to be able to refit them when dual controls are removed. If you’re having these fitted to a non-driving school car, you should notify your insurance company before having them fitted.
2.81 Where fitting of Universal Dual Controls there is a small risk of not being able to fit them, and in order to find out we may need to cut away some sound isolation, and drill small holes.
2.9 Manufactures making changes.
Sometimes car manufactures make changes that affects how the dual controls fit, sometimes this is without any notice and the first we know is when a dual control fitter attempts to fit a set, in this instance if this was to mean we couldn't fit a set to your car, this would have been out of our control and therefore we would take no responsibility for this other than there wouldn't be a charge and any deposit refunded
2.10 Refurbished Dual Controls
Refurbished Dual Controls may show wear to paint, slight wear to pedal rubber and may have brackets made by ourselves these will have no effect on how the dual controls work, these where fitted will come with new inner cables and cable springs, unless stated otherwise, and will work as good as new with our full lifetime warranty.
2.11 Free Annual Checks on Dual Controls
On dual controls we supplied and fitted, We will check and adjust if needed and replace parts in the unlikely event they need changing for free (excluding pedal rubbers) carried out at our workshop
